Follow these steps to connect your Apple iCloud Mail account. iCloud requires a unique, app-specific password to connect to third-party applications.
1. Generate an App-Specific Password
- Sign in to appleid.apple.com.
- Go to the Sign-In and Security section.
- Select App-Specific Passwords.
- Click "Generate an app-specific password", give it a label (e.g., the name of your app), and copy the password it provides.
2. Enter Your Credentials
Use the following settings in the app, pasting the app-specific password you just copied into the password field.
IMAP (Incoming Mail)
- Server: imap.mail.me.com
- Port: 993
- Encryption: SSL/TLS
- Username: Your full iCloud email (e.g., example@icloud.com)
- Password: Your generated app-specific password
SMTP (Outgoing Mail)
- Server: smtp.mail.me.com
- Port: 587
- Encryption: TLS
- Username: Your full iCloud email
- Password: Your generated app-specific password
Troubleshooting
The most common error is using your regular Apple ID password instead of an app-specific one. Please ensure you have generated and used the correct password.
