How can I find potential co-founding team members? (Possibly a CFO or CMO) We are working on a deep-learning, human-intuitive algorithm to create a shopable social network. The technology process is able to be patented with licensing potential. Working prototype is in process and is projected to be completed in 7 weeks. The startup was selected for final stage in accelerators programs, but rejection came with a similar feedback - lack of team member. I am looking for team members with experience, vision and creativity to take this to the next level and grow. Any suggestions on how to go about it? What are good platforms or networks to find the team members ? (Especially in the UK)
That sounds like a great startup project! Good for you and best of luck!
My name is Humberto Valle, I'm the cofounder of www.Unthink.me a small global digital marketing agency. There are many ways to network and prospect, there are also ways to network and social behavior that will help you not spook away potential candidates.
Go to nearby universities, find small business networking groups, register on sites like cofounders.com, angel.co, killerstartups.com, zana, launchrock, look for upcoming near Startup Weekend events, coworking spaces, reach out to incubators and ask for potential leads, do the same with angel investors...
For software development support consider outsourcing certain work to agencies like www.BetaBulls.com so that you can focus on key growth areas such as finding more long term partners.
